Paradise named one of the Ten Best Places to Retire in the Nation AGAIN!

Paradise, California has been named one of the 10 best laces to retire in the nation many times.  Why?  Many factors lead experts and retirees alike to call the little town in Northern California named Paradise, "One of the ten Best Places to retire.  The weather, having all four seasons but not too much of any of them.  One of the mottos of the town is "Above the Clouds, below the snow", it's really surprising how most of the time this really holds true.  Another huge factor is because Paradise and Magalia alike both have plenty of water.   The most precious gift of water has been bestowed upon us having developed close to an ancient underground river.  Most foothill communities in Norther California have stayed relatively small, some even having to provide a community well just to serve their residents.  Common sense tells us unless there is some kind of underground source on the ridge itself, then water must be drilled for all the way down. 

Another less thought of reason Paradise and Magalia have grown, is because many people who have spent most of their lives living and working in the rat race of the large cities, are looking for a quieter, safer, friendlier, more serene place to retire.  One of the nicest things about living in Paradise or Magalia is that almost everyone who currently resides here, has relocated from somewhere else.  It is quite unusual to meet a person who was born and raised in Paradise, but almost everyone in the larger California cities has heard of Paradise and the many know someone who lives here. It's so easy to make friends and common to meet old friends and neighbors who have also retired here.  This also makes way for the ease with which you can join clubs and organizations that fit your hobbies and causes.  Houses of worship are a large part of the Paradise way of life, with all different religions helping, joining and cooperating with each other,the people are the ones who get to enjoy all the wonderful events held here. 

Paradise and Magalia are really geared for doing everything possible to assist everyone from the youngest retirees to the older folks who have been enjoying the Paradise way of life for many years.  Everything from the public buildings, to the restaurants, to the typical homes built are all designed with the young retirees in mind.  Retiring doesn'tmean life stops or even slows down for that matter, life just simply changes.  Cultural events may become more important to you once you have reached the pinnacle of success and earned the right to retire.  If so, the Paradise Performing Arts Center with one of the best natural sounds north of Sacramento may be just thr right fit for you.  The amount of outdoor activities are absolutelu inumerable.  Everything from Fishing, Golfing, Skiing, Hiking, Biking, Riding, creating, growingand the list goes on and on.  Even the medical facilities are top notch and just geared for the young retirees medical needs, in fact our local hospital Feather River Hospital, is a sister facility to the renowned Loma Linda facilities. 

The last main reason we'll address here now, is location.  One of the most famous sayings regarding any real estate is "location, location, location", and boy does Paradise have it.  Centrally located in Northern California, virtually all the main attractions are within a 2 - 4 hour driving time.  Chico is a short 15 or 20 minute drive, the same for Oroville (the county seat), where all the shopping you could ever want including stores such as Costco and Trader Joes.  Sacramento, where the international airport is located to the south and Redding to the north are just about a 2 hour drive.  Reno, Lake Tahoe and many famous ski resorts are about a 3 hour drive and the San Fransisco Bay Area is less than 4 hour drive.  These are all just a few of the reasons Paradise is one of the "10 Best Places to Retire in the Nation".
